Has it really been a month?!

I feel like I stepped off of the plane in Dublin just yesterday... but a recent check of my calendar ("diary") reminded me that it has been 5 weeks. I can't believe it!

A lot has happened since I last blogged. Instead of boring you all with an in-depth play-by-play of my adventures... I figured I'd use photos to tell the story.

First of all, let me show you a bit about Dublin and where I live!

This is Palmerston Park, the closest shopping to where I live.

The front gate of Trinity College
The Irish School of Ecumenics, where my classes are held

My room in Trinity Hall!
Hugh Laurie speaking

During "Fresher's Week" (the week before courses begin) I joined quite a few societies including the The Phil. During the same week, The Phil hosted Hugh Laurie! His dry English humor is incredible.

On the first weekend in October, my roommate Sarah and I went to Exeter, England for a Rotary Link Weekend with the other Ambassadorial Scholars from the UK and Ireland.

My Rotary Host showed me around her town and even took me across the ford.

A host Rotarian was honored by being able to carry the Olympic Torch before the 2012 Olympics in London. She brought the torch with her and we were able to see it up close!

The following weekend, Sarah and I traveled to Galway for the Rotary District 1160 conference. We presented to the Rotarians about our interests and courses of study. ... and did a bit of sightseeing

Me at the Cliffs of Moher

While there I was able to meet the other Ambassadorial Scholars who are also studying in Ireland!

The following week, the Carolina Chocolate Drops visited Dublin! Of course, I had to be there :)

This past weekend, I had an opportunity to visit the Giant's Causeway with the International Society. Here are some of the highlights for that trip...

Dunluce Castle

I hope that made sense and wasn't too disconnected. I'll try to be better about blogging and keeping you all up-to-date on my adventures. Thanks again for everyone's support and kind wishes.

Lots of Love,
Sarah
